OptOut.bot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

OptOut.bot exists to reduce the spread of your personal data. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than the brokers we fight. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the GDPR.

What we collect

To run a scan and draft removal letters we process the identifiers you enter — name, and optionally email, phone and city. If you create a paid account we also store billing metadata from our payment processor (we never see your card number).

How we use it

Your identifiers are used solely to (a) generate your exposure report, (b) draft and submit removal requests on your behalf, and (c) monitor for re-listing. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or brokers. Ever.

Retention

Free-scan data is retained only as long as needed to show your report. Paid-account data is retained for the life of your subscription so we can keep monitoring, and deleted within 30 days of cancellation on request.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or erase your data at any time by emailing privacy@optout.bot. Under the DPDP Act you may also nominate a representative and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and access is restricted. We keep daily backups and run a documented restore process.
